What Is Scheduled Tasks?<\/h2>

Scheduled Task<\/strong> is a tool included in Plesk control panel<\/span><\/strong><\/a> enables you to run scripts on your server at a specific time. It also makes the system automatically run scripts for you. The Scheduled Task in Plesk is definitely matching cron jobs in cPanel control panel.<\/p>

Add Scheduled Task:<\/h2>
To add scheduled task, follow the steps:<\/div>
  • Firstly, log in to Plesk.<\/li>
  • Go to Websites & Domains<\/strong> –\u00a0Scheduled Tasks<\/strong> –\u00a0Add Task<\/strong>.<\/li>
  • After that, you need to select the task type, depending on your purpose:
    • Run a command<\/strong> – Specify the full path to the executable file to be run. This includes binary files, shell scripts, and batch files.<\/li>
    • Fetch a URL<\/strong> – Send a request (cURL) to a specific URL.<\/li>
    • Run a PHP script<\/strong> – Specify the path to the script relative to your virtual host directory. PHP version can be specified.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
    • Set\/frequency-time task should run.<\/li>
    • Add a Description of the task. (Optional).<\/li>
    • Select notification preference.<\/li>

      Remove Scheduled Task<\/h2>

      To remove scheduled task, follow the steps:<\/p>

      • Firstly, log in to Plesk.<\/li>
      • Go to\u00a0Websites & Domains<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Scheduled Tasks<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Add Task<\/strong>.<\/li>
      • Select the name of the task that you would like to remove.<\/li>
      • Click on the Remove<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>
      • After that, it will load a new page and ask if you really want to delete it. Check the Confirm Removal<\/strong>\u00a0box and click on the\u00a0OK<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>
