Generate CSR For SSL

A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is required to apply for an SSL certificate. Fill in your domain and organization details below to instantly generate your CSR code and Private Key.

Generate SSL CSR

Domain: CN - Common Name. Company: O - Organization. Division: OU - Org Unit. City: L - Locality. State: ST - State. Country: C - 2-letter code.

For Wildcard SSL, enter: *.yourdomain.com

What is a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)?

A CSR is a block of encoded text that contains information about your organization and the domain you want to secure. You submit the CSR to a Certificate Authority (CA) such as Comodo, and they use it to issue your SSL certificate. Your Private Key is generated at the same time and must be kept secret — it is used to install and activate the certificate on your server.

Keep Your Private Key Safe

Never share your Private Key. Store it securely on your server. It cannot be re-generated if lost without re-issuing the certificate.

Domain Format Matters

For a single domain use yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com. For Wildcard SSL use *.yourdomain.com.

2048-bit vs 4096-bit

2048-bit is the industry standard and recommended for most use cases. 4096-bit provides higher security but may slow TLS handshakes on older devices.

SHA-256 Signature

SHA-256 with RSA is the standard signature algorithm required by all modern browsers and Certificate Authorities. SHA-384 is also acceptable for higher security requirements.
