Why cPanel redirecting to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi?
Sometimes when you create or move cPanel account from one server to another, or if you change the IP address of the website, Therefore you or your clients may experience domain redirect to default cgi-sys apache for instance yorudomain.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Fixing Domain Redirect to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi on changing IP Address
This type of issues generally comes due that redirect action can be remembered by your ISP, your OS, and your browser. Therefore In such cases try you can try clearing your browser cache and waiting for a couple of hours however if it didn’t fixed the problem, you can use the .htaccess file by disabling CGI.
Options -ExecCGI
In some cases, you may need to change the IP by editing the DNS zone file for the domain, and change the Name servers and all records to the new IP, but on the other hand you still face the issue that the domain is rejecting to yourdomain.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi.
The reason behind it is that it keeps using the old IP address on the apache configuration file. Consequently the solution to this issue can be by changing the IP address from the WHM control panel interface for that domain by selecting the cPanel account that own the domain.
How to change website IP address from WHM
- Log in to WHM control panel.
- Go to Home »Account Functions »Change a Site’s IP Address
- In the search text box, type the domain you want to change its IP address. Then, select the domain and account from the list, then click the Change button.
- From the Change a Site’s IP Address, choose the new IP address from the drop-down list and click the Change button.
If the domain Name DNS and Name server Already Resolved to the New IP, the site should work properly and not redirect to /CGI-sys/default webpage.cgi
